Florence, after Giuseppe Allegrini, 1766-1773. 3 folio volumes, 465 x 365 mm. (volume III on the series of 4 is missing), in addition other copies of volumes I and II, with wide margins - in beards - of 495 x 390 mm. The first series in half parchment and cardboard, the second in full parchment. Lot not eligible for return.

Specialist Notes

One of the most famous and monumental printed works produced by Florentine publishing in the second half of the 18th century. Contains 202 biographies of the most illustrious Florentine personalities from Dante, Petrarca and Boccaccio to Machiavelli, Leonardo, Michelangelo, Vespucci.
