Venice, Giovanni Gabriele Hertz, 1715. In 4th. Only part 2 out of 3 of various Works of Mr. Antonio Vallisnieri, 1 plate engraved outside the text, plate torn and almost entirely missing, slight marginal foxing, coeval stiff cardboard binding.
Second part of the three writings by Vallisnieri, in this first edition unified for the first time in a single publication; the three operettas, originally printed the previous year, were initially distributed autonomously and, in 1715, Hertz decided to provide for a unified printing of the three also using previous copies that remained unsold. The specimen is presented only in the academic lesson, the second part, which represents a pillar and milestone in geological literature as it is the first structured study on the origin of Alpine springs.
