Portrait of the author protected by vellum, light browning, portrait detached and trimmed, beautiful binding to the coat of arms of Pope Leo XIII signed Lesort in beige morocco, decoration impressed in gold, double frame of fillets on the plates, cast iron on the outer corners of the inner frame fleur-de-lys also repeated on the spine sections, in the center the arms of Leo XIII surrounded by phytomorphic scrolls surmounted by the tiaria and the keys, spine with 5 raised bands, beige morocco doublure on the endpaper, border richly decorated in gold, red silk in the central field, gilt edges, slight defects. § Together in the lot Sanctissimi domini nostri Leonis divina providentia Papae XII Litterae Apostolicae, Rome, Tip.
