With 20 lithographic plates drawn in sepia and 2 maps, sporadic foxings, coeval binding in blue morocco, on the front plate the royal coat of arms of England surmounted by a crown and a scroll with the inscription "Collegium Reginae Victoriae Caesariense", author and title embossed in gold within a red label on the richly decorated spine, gilt edges, some scratches, minor defects. Traces of paper ex-libris on the back cover.
