Manuscript on paper in Italian, mathematics text [Italy, late 16th century]. In 8 ° oblong (98 x 143 mm), contemporary parchment, small spots and some papers with folded corners, in good condition. A total of 90 sheets (plus 3 end sheets front and back), 11-line single column text in precise lowercase italics, with numerous equations and mathematical diagrams in the text. & Nbsp;
Specialist Notes
The title refers to the work of Christopher Clavius (1538-1612), German Jesuit mathematician and astronomer, who taught these subjects within the Jesuit order of Rome and who published his Prattica Arithmetica in 1586 . The owner of this finely copied volume may have been one of his students. & Nbsp; Sold with certificate of free circulation. & Nbsp; & nbsp;
