& nbsp; First edition of this important and monumental work on the history of Trieste from its foundation to 1000, in copy with full margins in beards. & nbsp; The Author [born Giovanni Maria Manarutta (Trieste 1625 - Venice 1713)], a Discalced Carmelite, lived in the convents of Venice and Padua, with frequent stays in his hometown. His work was printed in Venice at the expense of the Trieste municipality and some private citizens, but despite the title it stopped in the year 1000. ; a second part, which lasted until 1702, saw the light only in 1881 in the city of Trieste.
