Specialist Notes
Curious discussion on the powers of unicorns, in its second edition, by the physicist, botanist, doctor and wine expert, the Marches Andrea Bacci (1524-1600). The author writes a treatise in open controversy with the absolutely skeptical dissertation by Andrea Marini ( Speech against the false opinion of Alicorn, 1566) and takes his cue from a unicorn cup given to Cosimo I The work is divided into three parts: the first demonstrates the existence of the legendary animal; in the second he explains the characteristics of the unicorn; in the third he focuses on the virtues of the horn and its possible uses. & nbsp;
