Information
Rome, Stamperia Giannini and Stamperia Puccinelli, 1756-1757. In 4th. 2 vols. Chalcographic front door with full-page portrait of the author, weapons of Pope Benedict XIV on the title page of vol. I, woodcut frieze to that of vol. II, with 3 copper plates, 2 of which folded, some stains and scattered blooms. Linked with Historical memories of the life of Santa Silvia ... with the illustration of the assets, and castles in Lazio adorned by the four aqueducts, which led to Rome the very remote waters of Marcia, Claudia, and the two Aniene. Rome, Rotili, 1755. In 4. 7 sheets of plates, of which 3 folded, blooms with scattered reddening, light browning on some paper, original parchment binding, smooth spine with title and author imprinted in gold, some stains, small woodworm holes on the back.

Two works by Cassius, rare and in the first and only edition, dedicated to the Roman aqueducts. The work dedicated to the aqueducts is a powerful study, very important for the history of practical hydraulics and concerning also the archeology and history of ancient and modern Rome. & nbsp; Rossetti, n. 1684.
