Frontispiece with title in red and black and woodblock mark, figured drop caps, blooms and some stains, coeval parchment binding, to one of the compartments of the author and title spine, with modern casket in brown Moroccan middle, spots, defects.
Specialist Notes
First edition that sanctioned Cellini's fame as a biographer and talented author. The work contains the dedication & nbsp; by Antonio Cocchi (1695-1758) & nbsp; doctor and naturalist, and was mentioned as an important work in the vocabulary of the Academici della Crusca of 1741.
