Paris, JP Costard, 1770. In 8vo. Magnificent illustrated frontispiece by Marillier, copper-engraved by De Ghendt, and three tipped-in plates, also by Marillier, engraved by Massard, Ponce, and Voyez l'ainé. Bound in 19th-century full red morocco, signed by Reymann, with triple gilt fillet on the covers, spine with compartments featuring precious decorations and a gilt title, beautiful gilt dentelles on the endpapers, gilt edges. Bookplate on the inside cover with a Rooster atop a pile of books and the motto: "Ognora desto - Dai libri di CG" (Every day awake - From the books of CG).
