Salò, Eredi Comincioli, 1674. On 2nd page. Beautiful allegorical frontispiece with a view of the Brescian Riviera of Garda, with 7 copper-engraved plates, some underlining, a few light brownings, contemporary half-parchment binding, defects.
Specialist Notes
Collection of statutes of the Salò Riviera, or Magnificent Homeland of the Brescian Riviera of Garda. It was a historic confederation of 34 municipalities, an example of civil autonomy and territorial identity under Venetian rule. Recognized by the Venetian Senate as the "Eldest Daughter of the Serenissima," it was dissolved in May 1797, at the end of the Venetian era.
