Cantini on designs by G. Francesco De Rossi, partly intact specimen, sporadic blooms, reddening of some panels, coeval binding in half brown leather, slight defects.
Specialist Notes
Valuable edition, dedicated to Louis XIII King of France and Navarre. Luigi Manzi, the curator of the work, was librarian of the Barberini Library and drew the work from a Vatican code. Leg 1167; Cicognara 237.
