Elegant allegorical figured frontispiece, frontispiece printed in red and black in Dutch with vignette, text printed on 2 columns, with 39 plates numbered 1 - 37 including & nbsp; 11 * and 25 *, 2 & nbsp; several times folded, 28 double-page, 9 with 2 engravings on a single sheet, scattered blooms, original parchment binding, with embossed decoration, plates framed by a double thread frame joined diagonally, in the center & nbsp; plaque, spine with 6 nerves with red leather gusset with gold title and friezes, slight spots. Ex libris glued to the title page.

Second edition reprinted by Alberts after Mortier of the third volume & nbsp; of the Nouveau Theater de l'Italie dedicated & nbsp; & nbsp; Naples and Sicily & nbsp ;. The work was first published in 1704/5 and then in 1724 the integration to Johannes Blaeu's project, begun in 1663, of the great 'book of cities', lacking in most of the plants of the northern part of the peninsula.
