Information
[Florence, Batelli, 1833]. In 2nd. With 150 leaves of plates engraved in black and white by Antonio Serantoni, small circular dry stamp at the bottom of the plates, the first two leaves including the title page are missing, and the reverse of the third leaf, several restorations, foxing, halo in the lower corner exterior, later half-leather binding with corners, author and title embossed in gold on the plates and spine, 5-ring spine with gold friezes, very slight defects.

A spectacular encyclopedic work on human anatomy, Serantoni's accurate engravings have long been a beacon for anatomical pictorial studies in the 19th century.
