Information
Series of 4 autographed and signed letters, all addressed to a certain Giuliano [it could be Giuseppe Giuliano who, in the second half of the nineteenth century, established the Real Circolo Bellini in Catania, in homage to the composer], dated 30 April and 22 May (2), 207 x 132 mm.
Specialist Notes
Interesting correspondence with the man who must have been the editor of a Catanian poetry magazine, perhaps planned but never realized. In a letter dated May 22, 1908, Capuana writes: "I don't know if the good wishes of someone who is not a poet are valid for an Italian poetry magazine. I send them to him anyway, because, ultimately, art, in any form, is always more or less poetry." Capuana's wife also sent him "two of his poems and one by Bruna," as stated in the letter dated April 30, 1908. Another letter mentions Cesareo and Pirandello, so he must have been well-connected in Sicilian literary culture of the time.
