A single-page letter, written on two pages, on letterhead paper with the ministerial logo of THE HEAD OF THE GOVERNMENT , in its original envelope. Addressed to the Governor of Rome (Prince Francesco Boncompagni Ludovisi).

Typewritten, with the addition of an initial, date and signature in black ink by Benito Mussolini

" Your Excellency Governor - in order for the Academy of Italy to be able to invite men from every civilized country, in a manifesto in four languages, to visit Rome, in the first tenth anniversary of the Fascist Revolution, it is necessary: 1st to isolate the Capitoline Hill as much as possible to the right and left of the Monument; 2nd to complete the works on the Argentine Forums; 3rd to complete the truly tardive works on the Teatro Marcello; 4th to complete the works on the Imperial Forums; 5th to arrange the last stretch of Via Cavour towards the Forum; 6th to arrange the Oppian Hill; 7th to begin the isolation of the Mausoleum of Augustus. - A very busy road is Via della Marmorata (or Via del Mare). The left side of this road is extremely indecent: it is a real bank of rubbish of every kind. It could be arranged, as was done with Via della Lungare, where the trefilagna was removed, to replace it with a decorous wall. For too long Via della Marmorata is - on the left - flanked by impossible shacks and hovels. It can be provided for at modest expense. Mussolini I - July IX"
