Circular medallion, 48mm in diameter, with the inscription in engraved capital letters on the front: " SENATO / DELLA / REPUBBLICA / 1948 ", arranged in four lines. The Senate symbol is on the back. Mounted on a long, elongated rectangular link chain ("paperclip chain"), for a total length of approximately 120cm.
