7-1/2", rifled, round, 45 cal. barrel. Mark "COLT PT. F. A. MFG. Co. HARTFORD CT. U.S.A." still quite visible. Clean bore, visible rifling, signs of use and time inside. Six-shot cylinder. Working mechanism. Four snaps. Safety lock to the working trigger. Frame with patents from 1871 to 1875 clearly visible. Remains of calibre inscription at the trigger guard "45 Cal." (only partially legible). Matching serial number "69xxx" present at the base of the frame, on the trigger guard and grip. Loading gate with different numbering (4398 probably assembly numbers). Walnut grip with a couple of reattached blocks. Fine nickel plating, probably a subsequent application, yet skillfully done. Lanyard ring to the the bottom of the grip.
