Round, rifled, 24", 22 cal.barrel (clean bore, visible rifling), provided with foresight and fixed rear sight, featuring two-line Colt marking with Hartford address and patents from 83 to 87. Frame with horse rampant effigy on the left side. Lower tang with serial number "39x". Walnut butt and fore-end, the latter checkered (fracture repaired on the lower side). Hard rubber butt-plate with Colt horse. Working mechanism. It keeps some of the earlier blueing (approx. 20-30%).
