Information

Autographed photo of Nino Benvenuti, 21.5 x 20 cm, certified by Beckett. Nino Benvenuti was not just a boxer, but an icon of Italian sport. His career, marked by pure talent and rare elegance, made him one of the most beloved and respected champions in the world. His path to legend began with a triumph: the gold medal he won at the 1960 Rome Olympics. This success launched him into professional boxing, where he quickly rose through the ranks, thanks to his clean, technical, and precise fighting style. The highlight of his career was the epic trilogy of bouts against the great American champion Emile Griffith. On April 17, 1967, at Madison Square Garden in New York, one of the most memorable boxing matches in history took place, starring Nino Benvenuti. Challenging for the world middleweight title, Benvenuti faced a formidable opponent: the reigning champion, American Emile Griffith. At the final bell, victory went to Nino Benvenuti by unanimous decision. That night, Benvenuti not only captured the WBC and WBA world titles, but also the hearts of boxing fans worldwide, cementing himself as one of the greatest champions in the history of Italian boxing.
