Specialist Notes

Work I: Original edition. Benedetto Cantalupo (1802 - 1879), a magistrate and economist of Bourbon faith, was appointed first a judge and then a Royal Prosecutor in recognition of his services to the crown through his scientific work. He was also authorized to hold a chair in public law "wherever he resided." Among his numerous writings, one of the most important, "I principi..." (The Principles), republished in 1855, is a profound and effective political, administrative, economic, and financial analysis of the Bourbon government's internal and foreign relations. Very rare original edition.
II work: First edition of this very important text on Neapolitan finance.
