Half-title, beautiful title page with architectural frame, text in two columns, light browning and foxing, some wormholes and traces of humidity, contemporary stiff parchment binding, sprayed edges, handwritten title on the spine, some stains and minor defects.
Specialist Notes
Juan Pérez de Pineda (ca. 1500–1567) was a Spanish religious reformer close to Protestantism, active in Seville before being forced into exile by the Inquisition. Having taken refuge in Geneva, he devoted himself to translating and distributing biblical texts in Castilian and preaching to the Spanish community.
