Specialist Notes

Rare and beautiful example of this missal, finely printed by Baglioni. The following three texts are printed on the three additional leaves: "Die XX. Julii missa in festo S. Eliae prophetae" (printed in Ticini Regii [Pavia], 1772, Typis Haered. Ghidin. Impress. Archiepisc. Episc.); "Oratio recitanda die XIII. Novembris in festo Sancti Britii"; "Oratio dicenda in die Sancti Syri, et per totam octavam". Finally, on the reverse of the last rear free guard a text has been handwritten in two columns: "Die IV. Maij in festo Sacrae Sindonis".
