Information
Beautiful set of 5 autographed and signed letters, one from Hugo's wife writing to her brother, in green frames 270 x 330 mm., various sizes.
Specialist Notes
A beautiful collection of short correspondences from the great French writer, poet, playwright and politician, considered the father of Romanticism in France. They are intimate and familiar missives, but they also talk about literature, books received, exchanges of cultural opinions. A direct testimony to the genius of one of the greatest authors of all time. In one in particular he writes to a fellow friar and says he shares the ideas on justice that the fellow friar sets out in his book.
