Specialist Notes
First edition, uncommon. Luchini, an astronomer and gnomonist from Pesaro, describes the construction of sundials and analyzes the calculation of astronomical hours. The conspicuous tabular part present as usual in all treatises on the gnomonic subject includes the schemes of logarithms. Riccardi, I-55: "Voluminous and valuable work". Sotheran, b. 11068. Houzeau & Lancaster 11610: "Cet ouvrage renderme, entre autres, des table etendues pour la construction des cadrans solaires, une notice sur le calendar et des problems d'astronomie spherique".
