Venice, Nicolo d'Aristotile di Ferrara known as Zoppino, 1533. In 4°, title page inserted in an artistic woodcut frame with classical motifs, 6 cc. nos. 282 of the civil code. numbered (missing, restored, in the white margin of the last 3 cc.), with the portrait of the author on the reverse of the fourth leaf and 23 artistic woodcuts of popular taste placed at the beginning of each book, most of which bear the monograms "TMPF", "mf" or "mpf", attributable according to Essling to Matteo Pagano from Treviso. Coeval binding in full soft parchment, calligraphic title.

First vernacular edition of the work of Dione Cassio, translated by Nicolò Leoniceno, an appreciated Greek scholar and holder of the Chair of Medicine at the University of Ferrara, who collaborated with Aldo Manuzio in the creation of the monumental edition of Aristotle.
