Example in beards, pp. 1-4 missing, paperback in a later binding in half red morocco with corners and marbled paper, author and title embossed in gold on the spine with 5 raised bands, minor defects. On the front cover of the paperback embossed stamp "Marsigli e Rocchi Bologna". § By the same author ;La Révolution sociale démontrée par le coup d'état du 2 décembre, Paris, Garnier, 1852. Copy in beards, paperback in a modern cloth binding, title in gold within a label on the spine, stains on the back cover of the paperback.< /p>
Specialist Notes
I work: First edition of the first work published posthumously by the French politician and journalist Gustave Chaudey (1817-1871), as well as Proudhon's favorite disciple and executor. As in all specimens of the first edition and of the other two editions which appeared in 1865, the principals are pages 1-4.
