Interesting report of a long journey in present-day Pakistan with an accurate description of local places and customs. The last part of the third volume reports the journey of Capt. Christie from Nuchky to Isphan. Pottinger then became Minister Plenipotentiary for China, winning the Second Opium War, and was also the architect of the agreement that brought Hong Kong under the influence of the British crown.
