Information
Venice, after Giovambattista Marchiò Sessa and brothers, 1578. In 2°. 96 clear woodcuts, portrait of Dante engraved in an oval on the title page, framed with allegorical elements, from which comes the name by which the edition is popularly known, the "Nasone", text of the Comedy imprinted in italics in the central part of each page , and around it appear the notes in Roman characters, numerous cartouches, engraved drop caps and finials, printer's brand with a seated cat at the end, reinforcement on the lower margin of H3, restoration on the lower corner of EE3, restoration on the lower parts of the last three papers, without losses, rigid parchment binding with title on a piece on the spine from the 18th century, blue edges.

Reprint of the 1564 edition, the first edited by Sansovino, on the Aldino model of 1502, famous because < b>collects for the first time the comments of Landino, who appeared in Florence in 1481, and of Vellutello, published for the first time by Marcolini in 1544. The rich iconographic apparatus is taken from the same edition of Marcolini.
