Information
Venice, heirs of Aldo Manuzio the Elder and Andrea Torresano, 1517. In 8°. On the title page and at the end of the Aldine brand, slight and marginal foxing on some leaves, refined amateur's binding in dark brown morocco with gold decorations on the plates and on the back, richly decorated serrations, gilt edges.
Specialist Notes
Aldine edition described by Brunet as "rare et recherché". It includes Oppiano's famous fish poem and the editio princeps of De venatione.
