Woodcut friezes and initials, slightly burnished papers, light blooms, coeval parchment binding, red cut, 5-pin spine with author and title stamped in gold within a gusset, slight defects. Stamp of belonging to the title page, handwritten notes on the counterplate.

First edition. Anti-Protestant treatise written by the theologian from Lucca following the recent publication of the papal bull Unigenitus , promulgated the previous year by Pope Clement XI.
