Linked with Voltaire, & nbsp; Commentaire sur le livre des delits et des peines, par un Avocat de Province . & Nbsp; S.l., S.s., 1766. VIII -120 pp. Frieze on the title page, errata paper in fine volume, sporadic blooms, coeval binding in brown calfskin, back with 5 nerves, title and floral decorations embossed in gold, red spray cuts, lacks and peeling . & nbsp;

This writing, which suffered the same fate as & nbsp; Of crimes and penalties ending up in the index, met with immediate success so much that it was expanded and reprinted several times.
