Venice, per li Baba, 1660. In 4°. Loose copy with 25 full-page plates drawn and engraved by Boschini, missing the frontispiece, the portrait and the fascicles 4M-4P (pp. 396-370), slight stains on the title page, light water stains on the first fascicles, some light foxing, later parchment binding, title stamped in gold on the spine, halo on the back cover, slight defects.

Rare first edition of this valuable work on Venetian painting. Cicognara 976: "a very interesting little work by an eminent connoisseur of the arts." Dedicated to Archduke Leopold Wilhelm of Austria, it is a "venezianade": a poem written to extol Venetian virtues, and in particular.
