Corinna Modigliani, born into a family of the good Roman Jewish bourgeoisie, developed a firm interest in painting that she cultivated despite the contrary opinion of her parents. A student of the painter Pietro Vanni, she participated continuously in the exhibitions of the Society of Amateurs and Cultivators of Fine Arts, while in 1909 she became a member of the Association of Watercolorists. In her production, scenes with children and portraits, both on commission and of friends and family, particularly stand out, in which her delicate sensitivity is combined with vibrant painting.
