length 118.5 cm.
Heavy rifled, octagola, 12 mm cal barrel(bore with pitting, rifling clearly visible); at the breech a scroll-engraved steel part, followed by a Greek key and the signature “Pirko. in Wien.” in gold; fixed rear sight, the forward section engraved; at the muzzle a precision front sight within a gold frame. Tang with very fine scroll engraving, fitted with a diopter. Shell-shaped drum, engraved, with a silver centre. Forward-spring percussion lock; lockplate and hammer entirely and expertly engravedwith floral motifs; beneath the hammer base the signature “PIRKO.” Full stock partly floral engraved and with chequered fore-end; on the right side a well-carved thumb-rest. Magnificent gilt-brass mounts, low-relief carved: sideplate with hounds attacking a boar; ahead of the anatomical trigger guard an ibex on rock; buttplate with a hunting trophy and a stag at centre; the opposite side with a boar’s head at centre. Set trigger (stecher). Horn fore-end cap. Horn-tipped wooden ramrod.
