Over-and-under barrels of octagonal section. The upper one is rifled (clean bore and clearly visible rifling) and provided with foresight, fixed rear sight and gold signature "K. Pirko in Wien" in Gothic characters, the lower one smoothbore; both of fine damask; with beautiful gold Greek fret at the base. 16 mm cal. at the nozzle. The breech block is provided with two pistons with a wide rounded base and spark arrestor; the surface is engraved with racemes featuring traces of the original browning. Long tang finely engraved with floral scrolls. Backward spring lock with plates fully engraved with floral scrolls, the right one signed "PIRKO" and engraved with a boar, the other with the inscription "WIEN" and engraved with two hounds; the cocks worked en suite. Browned cocks. Working mechanism. Walnut butt with checkered grip, butt stock with cheekpiece and round iron patch box, engraved with scrolls on the border and a lion in the centre. Engraved and browned iron trigger guard with wooden tang. Smooth iron butt plate with upper tang engraved and browned en suite. Two triggers, the right one with adjustable screw. On the right side there is the ramrod, made of wood with brass mounts. Inside the patchbox, a cartridge extractor that can be screwed onto the ramrod. Of remarkable quality.
