length 122 cm.
Round, smoothbore, over-and-under, 15 mm cal. barrel, twisted, and with remains of original browning; decorated in gold at the breech with cornucopias and racemes. On the rib, there is a gold-inlaid patch mark with the crowned letters "F M B" (Ferdinando Minelli Brescia), slightly above a rectangular cartouche "Canne Damaschine" also gold-inlaid; nozzle with foresight and cornets with gold leaves; gold vent. Gold-inlaid tangs with leaves in bas-relief; iron saddle-type foresight decorated with floral motifs. Lock with flat lock plates without raised borders and engraved with floral motifs on the tang, on the cocks and on the batterie; spring with anti-friction roller; signatures in italics "Ferdinando Minelli / in Brescia". Short walnut stock, provided with cheekpiece carved with cornucopia in bas-relief, grip sculpted in the round with a magnificent ram's head (small missing part on one curved horn), checkered grip with noble shield and silver studded ornaments, as well as on the grip of the frame. All the elaborate silver mounts are inlaid and decorated with cornucopia motifs, and the iron butt plate and trigger guard are engraved with the same decorations. Original horn-tipped wooden ramrod.
