Frontispiece engraving by King Leopold II of the Belgians, edition accompanied by full-page black and white engravings in the text, two fold-out maps (96 x 58 cm) at the end of volumes I and II of the Congo Basin. Bound in red half leather with gold title stamped on the four-ribbed spine, minor age-related defects.
