Information

Venice, Gabriele Giolito de Ferrari, 1550. In 8°. Woodcut title page decorated with correspondence, cherubs, caryatids, and plant motifs with later coloring, with a full-page illustration depicting the region of Avignon, a vignette with a portrait of Petrarch and Laura c. *2v and 6 woodcut illustrations preceding each of the Triumphs, also with later coloring, historiated woodcut initials and headpieces, Giolito's printer's device at the end, handwritten note on the verso of the title page, several wormholes, modern half-leather binding with corners, gilt title within a tag on the spine, some peeling, minor defects. Ownership stamps on the inside cover and on the flyleaf.
