Information
Two splendid and historic watercolour engravings, depicting one of the most critical moments in Genoese history: the bombardment of 1684 by a fleet of French warships, accused of various episodes unworthy of the Court of France and because it was considered faithful to the alliance with Spain and obstinate in considering the crowns of the two opposing empires as equals. The first engraving is the work of Jean Baptiste Morret, the second by Gudin (Shelton l'incise).
