Information

GENERAL DESCRIPTION

The TVR Tuscan was born to consolidate TVR's presence in the high-performance lightweight sports car market following its experience with the Griffith and Vixen during the 1960s.
The Tuscan V6, produced from 1969 to 1971, was designed to offer a more "reliable" and less thirsty version than the V8, which was exported primarily to the USA, primarily for the European market, as the Ford Essex V6 did not meet the American emission regulations of the time. The fiberglass body was derived from that of the Vixen S2, and was replaced by the TVR 3000M. Most of the 101 examples built were sold in the UK and Europe; today it is estimated that only 20 remain in existence.

LOT DESCRIPTION

The TVR Tuscan V6, registration GJ138J, was first registered in the UK on 16/11/1970, with red bodywork and black interior. The UK registration document lists seven owners before the last British owner purchased it in 1978. It has since been exported to Germany, where it has been fully restored and participated in numerous events in Europe, including Le Mans Classic, and then to Italy from 2019, where it has participated in numerous historic races such as the Trofeo Bordino, Valli e Nebbie, and Vernasca Silver Flag. In 2019, it was purchased by the current owner with 33,453 km since the restoration and re-registered as a vehicle of historic and collectible interest with standard registration FY420LG, whereas it had been requested with a square plate. The DMV corrected the error by issuing the current registration ZB843AT. The car comes with CRS, FIVA Certificate, MOT valid until 07/2026, and has around ten volumes containing documentation of the history, restoration, technical specifications and all the maintenance manuals. It is sold with 4 other 14" rims with 185/70 x 14 tires, more than twelve volumes of documentation, Set of spare parts, Spare front window, Battery charger, Professional fire extinguisher, 4-point seat belts, Vintage car radio with Bluetooth, 12 Volumes (Restoration, Spare Parts, Manuals), Racing seats in Alcantara, Stainless steel exhaust. Latest work carried out: in addition to normal periodic maintenance, Refitted original rims with 165 x 15 tires, replacement of 6 adjustable shock absorbers and 6 springs, Rebuilt cylinder head with modified valve seats for use with unleaded petrol, Replacement of higher performance camshaft (280HP/6,000 rpm), Replacement of clutch disc and pressure plate, Upgrade of adjustable front suspension, Overhaul of 3 Weber carburetors, New front brake pads, Replacement of brake pump and clutch pump, Battery cut off, Fuel tank cut off.
