GENERAL DESCRIPTION

The 1976 Porsche 911 3.0 represents an important stage in the evolution of the classic 911, marking the transition to more robust engines and ever-increasing performance. Derived directly from Porsche's racing experience, it featured a 3.0-liter six-cylinder boxer engine with approximately 200 hp, the same aluminum crankcase as the Turbo, but in a naturally aspirated version. It was a pure sports car: lightweight, highly responsive, and with a demanding yet extremely precise handling, typical of rear-engined 911s. Performance was high for the time, with a top speed of around 225 km/h. Approximately 3,700 units were produced (Carrera 3.0 version), and today it is one of the most prized 911s among collectors because it combines rarity, performance, and a strong technical connection to the legendary 911 Turbo.

LOT DESCRIPTION

About ten years ago, the car underwent a complete restoration aimed at bringing it back to its original specifications, with meticulous attention to detail. The beating heart of the car, the engine, was completely rebuilt, as were all the mechanical components.
The bodywork was completely stripped and then repainted in a deep shade of "Oakgrün," chosen from the official Porsche color palette of the time: a shade that enhances its classic lines while remaining distinct from its original color. The interior, finely echoed in the upholstery, completes the picture.
