Specialist Notes
Tiny and snappy, it looks like something out of a Japanese manga, painted in a bright colour. It has the dimensions of the contemporary Fiat 126 and the same engine capacity but boasts 40 hp and the rev counter has a red line at 6000 rpm. The Honda Z debuted in October 1970 and was marketed until 1973. The Z600 name reflected the engine's size of 598 cc. The smaller-engined Honda Z360 was available in Japan and other markets, such as Australia. In Europe only the Z600 was marketed; 918 cars were sold, most of them in France and Switzerland. Very rare in Italy, this example has Italian number plates. The car is an abandoned restoration project, so it comes incomplete, partially disassembled and not driving. The bodywork, however, is in good condition (probably repainted), as are the front seats. A vintage car radio is present.
