Specialist Notes
The Cronoplan was designed in 1937, featuring an ingenious system of two concentric revolving bezels; the inner bezel is calibrated for the hours, the outer for the minutes. In order to time a specific event, the 0 of the hours bezel should be placed above the hour hand, and the 0 of the minutes bezel above the minute hand. At the end of the recording, the elapsed time can be read directly from the numbers indicated by the two hands on the respective bezels.
