The religious subject is depicted by the Author through an anti-realistic transfiguration: Mino Rosso presents an essential mystical abstraction, built around a few fundamental elements, such as the radiant halo surrounding the Virgin's head, the almost incorporeal lightness of the Child, and the dynamic movement of the drapery of the robe.
