Original comic art made by Kelly for "The End of the Rainbow," an adventure published in Pogo Possum n. 1, page 46, by Dell in 1949. Published just a year after the Pogo strip debuted, this issue marked the beginning of Dell's 16-issue series featuring the beloved possum. No one mastered the art of political satire like Kelly. With Pogo, he fused his background in journalism and his experience as an animator for Walt Disney into a visually whimsical and nuanced comic that captivated on the surface and penetrated deeply.
