Auction details
On 17 September in Milan, Finarte will stage an auction exclusively dedicated to the wine region favoured by collectors and connoisseurs: Burgundy.
The greatest producers of the Cote d'Or, the most sought-after crus, perfectly preserved bottles belonging to collectors who have selected them with expertise and aged them in ideal conditions, with the respect due to a heritage of great value, not only economic.
The auction is divided into 17 producers who are key players in the history of Burgundy:
Coche-Dury
Domaine Philippe Charlopin-Parizot
Domaine Marc Colin
Domaine Comte Georges de Vogüé
Domaine du Comte Liger-Belair
Domaine Dugat-Py
Domaine Dujac
Domaine René Engel
Domaine Fourrier
Domaine des Lambrays
Domaine Georges Mugneret-Gibourg
Emmanuel Rouget
Henri Jayer
Domaine de la Romanée-Conti (DRC)
Domaine Méo-Camuzet
Domaine Robert Groffier Père & Fils
Domaine Georges & Christophe Roumier
Of the 33 Grand Crus of Burgundy, as many as 21 are represented, in some cases even with labels from 4 different producers, all of them excellent and rare.
Lots of Premier Cru wines of very high quality complete the auction offering, making the selection of white wines of particular interest.
A common trait of the great Burgundy wines is their ability to express themselves most fully only when time has had a chance to bring out the complexity, depth and breadth of their aromas. Over two-thirds of the bottles at auction have been aged with maniacal care and are now at the recommended tasting interval, while the other, younger bottles are destined for the future.
This is an unrepeatable opportunity to acquire unobtainable and excellent bottles, a unique moment for true connoisseurs of the most prestigious wine territory in the world: Burgundy.
