Specialist Notes
Facsimile reproduction of the Bible of Grandval or Bible of Moutier-Grandval, a Carolingian illuminated manuscript made in the monastery of San Martino in Tours around 840. It takes its name from the Swiss monastery of Moutier-Grandval where it was kept until the end of the 16th century. It is currently kept at the British Library in London.
