Specialist Notes
In the seventies Franco Maria Ricci dedicated himself to the project of a reprint of the Encyclopédie, originally made between 1751 and 1772. The edition by Ricci is composed of eighteen volumes: twelve reproduce all the engravings, five the items considered most significant. and one a series of unpublished essays. The eighteenth volume, with a prologue by Jorge Luis Borges, includes essays, writings and authoritative interventions on the work and on the Enlightenment era. The edition was 3000 copies. Monumental complete work, the last complete reprint of one of the fundamental texts in the history of humanity.
