Round, two-stage, rifled, smoothbore, 44 cal barrel (bore with pitting, only a few remains of rifling are visible), octagonal at the first part with Remington address, 1858 patent and ‘NEW MODEL’ markings; adjustable and foldaway rear sight, the second part round and with foresight. Smooth, six-shot cylinder barrel (slightly loose). Browned cartridge rammer (replaced?). Brass trigger guard with silver-plated remains, mark of the calibre and serial number ‘243’. Wooden butt with knurled base and typical brass butt plate. Very rare. This lot is imported from a non-EU country and incurs additional taxes beyond the auction house commission and the V.A.T. Consequently, the total Buyer’s Premium, inclusive of all taxes, amounts to 35%.
